FIMI is the federation that tracks and certifies the Italian music market: weekly charts, streaming certifications, industry reports, ISRC codes. The project was about giving this wealth of data a platform worthy of its authority.

Brief

A new home for Italy's music data

FIMI publishes some of the most authoritative music industry data in Italy: weekly charts, certifications, market reports, and ISRC codes. As the volume and complexity of this content grew, so did the need for a platform built to present it clearly. The brief called for a complete redesign: new architecture, new visual language, and a fundamentally better experience for every type of user.

Approach

Hierarchy first, aesthetics second

The core work was editorial: deciding what each user needs to see, and in what order. Charts needed to feel live and immediate. Certifications deserved a format that communicates prestige. Reports and documentation required clear navigation without overwhelming the page. Once the information architecture was solid, the visual language followed: clean, editorial, built to scale with FIMI's weekly publishing rhythm.

Outcome

A platform that grows with its content

Delivered a fully redesigned digital platform: new information architecture, component-based UI system, a rebuilt ISRC request flow, and a restructured news and blog section. The result is a site that handles FIMI's weekly publishing cadence and makes its data genuinely accessible to industry professionals, artists, and the general public.
