Design is about

We got very good at removing obstacles. We simplified, standardized, optimized. We arrived at a world that works. The question now is what comes after. Not every experience should feel frictionless. Sometimes the rough edge is the point. Intentional friction is not a failure of design. It's design operating at a higher register.
